Sophie Smith broke 8 county records at the 1st weekend of County Age Groups & Championships(subject to ratification) Four records but Junior & Senior in all of them-all previous records were Sophie's.

| Leicestershire ASA were contacted by Patricia Heyden (nee Chamberlain)who swam for Knighton Fields over 50 years ago. She wondered if the Cup she had won competing in the Leicestershire Championships in 1952 was still in circulation After some investigation her name was found on the beautiful Silver Cup for the girls 100m Breaststroke. She was then invited to attend this year’s event and present the Trophy she had won 57 years ago. Patricia attended the Gala at Loughborough on Sunday with her husband and was delighted to present the Trophy to this year’s winner Carla Read of Leicester Penguins. |
