| It is with great sadness that the county has learned of the sudden and untimely death of Sophie whilst training with her squad at the City of Leicester on Tuesday 15th September 2009. Our thoughts are with Lesley & John and her brother Tom at this difficult time. Leicester Penguins, her base club, have arranged a gathering which will take place on Friday 18th September 2009 at New Parks Leisure Centre starting at 7pm. This will give friends of Sophie an opportunity to come together and share their thoughts and memories at this difficult time. There will also be a book of condolence and the club will collect cards for the family. The gathering is for all friends from any swimming club, school mates and parents.
