Entry to Braunstone Leisure Centre
This weekend is expected to be another busy one with a large number of swimmers and parents etc trying to enter the building at the same time.
To minimise the risk of accidents with overcrowding in the foyer before the barriers and the inconvenience to other centre users, TWO queues will be formed, one for swimmers and one for parents etc.
Swimmers: Please form an orderly queue OUTSIDE the centre to the LEFT of the main doors. You will be invited to enter the building when the centre staff give permission to allow you poolside.
Spectators: Please form an orderly queue starting inside the building, leading outside, and standing on the right, allowing other users to pass on the left. Please leave a space in front of the reception window and do not stand too close to the barriers as this triggers an alarm. Please also ensure passage through the entrance area (between the two sets of automatic doors) is not blocked.
Coaches/Team Manager/Volunteers: You may enter the building and pass the spectator queue on the left, reporting to the Accreditation Desk to collect your new passes.
Spectator Gallery
Firstly, many thanks to all of last weekends spectators for your patience, understanding and cooperation with both the card reader issues and the enabling of as many people as possible being able to watch their swimmer's race. It is very much appreciated.
Session 9 in particular is busy and are likely to cause issues with seating again. We will adopt the same policy as the previous weekend in that spectators in the gallery will be invited to give up their seat for races in which they have no swimmer, swapping with someone who is queuing who does have a swimmer in that race.
You are encouraged to consider the setting up a 'ticket share' with other parents within your club where you have swimmers in the same events but earlier and/or later races. Please inform the Door Stewards of any such agreements.
